KAO’RU® Shibahara Exhibition ～Ｓｔｉｌｌ Ｌｉｆｅ～ 展
ただ漠然とフォトグラファーになりたいという理由で、「それには新しい場所での挑戦だ！」と勝手に思い立ち,２２歳の大学卒業と同時に、自分がどんな写真が撮りたいのかもみえないまま、
一人ニューヨークに旅立ちました。今思うと、ただただ若さゆえの勢いであった気がします。
そんなある日、卒業したばかりでアシスタントをしたこともたいして常識もない若造を、
友人の友人、そのまた友人の紹介であるにもかかわらず、ミッドタウンのスタジオにアシスタントとして呼んで頂いた、フォトグラファーＨＡＲＵＯ氏との出会いが、Still Life Photography への扉でした。
アシスタントの最初の日、暗いスタジオ内の撮影台にのった普通のグラスが、
ＨＡＲＵＯ氏のライティングによってキラキラと輝く宝石のように見えたとき、
驚きと感動で胸がドキドキとしたあの日のことは今でも忘れることが出来ません。
以来、ニューヨークでの１０年の活動中、また拠点を東京に構えてからの５年間、
Still Life Photography を撮り続けています。
＊ 植物を中心とした自然が作り上げた造形と、人工物の融合によるスチール・ライフ・フォト
＊ 部屋に飾っておきたくなる、スチール・ライフ・フォト
一見異なるスタイルの写真が展示されているように見えるかもしれませんが、
ＮＹ時代の頃からずっと変らぬ私の２つのスタイルで、撮影されたものです。

When I was 22 years old, that I graduated university.
I thought that I wanted to challenge in a new place to become a photographer and I went to New York.
Though, I didn’t know what I kind of photograph I wanted to take, also, I just graduated from university and I had not experience of the assistant.
Nevertheless, Photographer Haruo called me to his assistant by the introduction of the acquaintance.
On the first day of the assistant, the glass was set up in front of the camera in the studio.
Haruo made set up the lighting, I was seen like the jewel to which the glass shone.
I can’t forget on the day of throbbing of my heart by the impression and the surprise.
Since that the day of his first assistant, I was interested beginning in the still life photography for 10 years in New York City, for 5 years in Tokyo.
I am shooting two concepts from
* Still life photography by fusion of the beautiful art things made up by nature and artificial things made up by people.
* Still life photography who wants to display their room.
The photograph of a different style you might seem. But, I am not changing two styles of photographs from when I was in NY.
